Smashing Pumpkins – Siva

24 Nov, 2011

Album: Gish (1991), Virgin

The song “Siva” is based on Hendrix’s chord (7#9). It started to create themselves as one of the most original bands of the 90’s. Perfectional song structures and the unmistakable sound of this band has an astounding power even two decades on. SP had a “logo” in the shape of heart, they struck mine perfectly, and forever.

I spin off and lose my head
Throwing stray a spark instead
Gather strenghth down in my heel
And dig it in the world I peel

Way down deep within my heart
Lies a soul that’s torn apart
Tell me, tell me what your after
I just want to get there faster

I don’t live – I inhale
I don’t give – I unveil
Don’t want to live in your misery
I don’t live – I inhale

Sprinkle all my kisses on your head
Stars full of wishes fill our beds
She said, “I’m dead”

All this pain smothers me
Like a bomb that you can’t see
Tell me, tell me what your after
I just want to get there faster

I don’t live – I inhale
I don’t give – I unveil
I don’t live – I inhale
I don’t live

Music is a drug, a passion and also a love for me. An intimate communication. It allows me to travel in time and space. To get to know myself through my own emotions. To feed me when I’m empty and free me, when I am brimming with everything. In reality I am a big horse dressed in striped pajamas who, except music, also likes time-proved meals and wines.

Super, vďaka, preto je tu. Nie je opozerané a veľa ľudí, čo objavili Smashing Pumpkins až neskôr, ani nevedia, že existuje.
